Installation And Maintenance
Always check and ensure the routing of the original cable and its dimensions to be identical to the new cable before installing.
Lubricate the cables with some light oil prior to installation.
When routing cables, make sure that there's enough gap between the cable and any heat source to allow the cables to move.
Once installed, check the cable's operation from steering lock to lock to make sure it works both ways (Push/Pull).
For maintenance, cables should be removed and flushed with a blast of air to prolong cable's life. However, replacing the cables at regular intervals should always still be the best option.
